Godrej Properties witnessed a 1.8% rise in its shares, priced at ₹3,202.65, after securing the highest bid for a housing project in Sector 5-A, Kharghar, announced today. The real estate firm succeeded in the e-auction by CIDCO for this prime location.

Amid a downturn in the market, the S&P BSE SENSEX dropped 0.45% to 81,449.13, while the NSE NIFTY50 fell 0.44% to 24,946.60 as of midday. The broader indices reflected a general retreat in stock values during afternoon trading.

Shares of BSE plunged by 7.5% to ₹4,419.90 on the NSE following a critical assessment by Jefferies. The brokerage highlighted over-optimism in market-share expectations and noted the stretched valuations, failing to account for F&O framework impacts.

PNC Infratech’s stock rose over 4% to ₹465.60 after receiving acceptance letters from MSRDC for road projects valued at ₹4,630 crore, signalling potential growth and enhanced operational scope for the infrastructure developer.

Rallis India achieved a new high of ₹373.80 on the BSE, spurred by a notable 19.51% increase in net profit for Q2 FY25, reaching ₹98 crore. The growth was supported by strong performance in the crop care and seeds segments.

HDFC AMC’s shares soared by 6.58% to a record ₹4,848 following a significant 32% rise in Q2 profit after tax, which amounted to ₹576.61 crore. The company’s total income also saw a substantial increase of 38% year-over-year.

RailTel’s shares appreciated by 7.60%, trading at ₹439.10 after securing a ₹79.8 crore order from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. This new contract adds to the company’s robust portfolio of ongoing projects.
