The contract covers boiler, turbine, generator, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, and auxiliary installations, along with associated electrical, instrumentation, and civil works. The project, awarded through domestic competitive bidding, is valued at approximately ₹6,700 crore (excluding taxes and duties) and has a completion timeline of 48 months.
The awarded contract does not involve any related party transactions or promoter group interests. BHEL’s selection for this project strengthens its presence in India’s power infrastructure sector. The deal reinforces its leadership in executing large-scale power projects, contributing to national energy capacity expansion.
